TeleFlow Step 0017
From TeleFlow
Flash Hook Step
Initiates a short term hang up with a central telephone switching system. This is equivalent to pressing and releasing the telephone receiver. Flash hooks are sometimes used in analog circuits to initiate call transfers or 3-way calls. (In the case of call transfers, it is typically easier to take advantage of the features of the Place Call step, which already has an initial flash hook built into it) The availability of such services on your telecom circuit will limit how and when the Flash Hook step can be used.
