1. Assignment of variables via hexadecimal notation.

2. Indirect variable addressing. e.g. A variable contains the name of a target variable.

3. GUI output. (For customized status outputs, etc.)

4. Now that TCP/IP is available, how about ICMP dlls, or others?

5. Better controls over printing flowcharts or a flowchart to outline converter.

Actuall, I was thinking windows.
And either message step or display variable contents to a Windows "window". A simple VB interface, display contents of variable "X" at posistion X,Y in window "Z". Loop (delay) until close.

4. Was thinking about ICMP Ping dll.

5. Ever try to print a color chart on a black and white laser printer? <shudders>

3: Are you turning TeleFlow into screen development program? We used to have a step that would allow you to display information, and interact. We removed it because it didnt make sense when running with the server. It worked with the Simulator though. Is that where you were thinking of using it? As a heads up, we are adding a Variable Viewer so that you can see the values of all the variables at any time. This should come along with 2005.1
4: If its a dll, it should cooperate. There are exceptions, and the Dll must be written correctly.
5: Yes. The laser printers cant handle the 7 MB pages. PDF and other approaches are being considered for this. That was the reason for Black and White in the first place. We will come back on this issue soon.

Actually, the display I had in mind was display only, not interactive.

A simplified call progress monitor.
Port status (bsy, ans, offhook, etc),
the assigned phone number, the calling number (ANI if supported), Time of call, elapsed time, call end, call counter for port, user supplied data (say.. customer number, order number, etc).

Modified sample from an existing application:

Calls: 407 Hung Up: 237 Help: 1 Rejects: 2
Add: 291 Change: 0 Delete: 4 Inspect: 0

Port Call Line Sts Accessing Order # Customer Loc. Name
──── ──── ──────── ─── ──────────── ──────── ──────── ────── ───────────────────
01 130 123-4567 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
02 83 123-4568 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
03 59 123-4569 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
04 42 123-4570 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
05 35 123-4571 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
06 28 123-4572 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
07 18 123-4573 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
08 12 123-4574 Rdy __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <Line Ready>_______
09 0 000-0000 Sby __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <No Dial Tone>_____
10 0 000-0000 Sby __/__/__ ___ ________ ________ ______ <No Dial Tone>_____
Next | Previous | Exit

A VB form type interface.

It sounds like what you really want is an update to the TeleFlow Monitor to display this type of information. I think that generic call-related info (ANI, DNIS, call counts, hook status, etc.) should be added to the Monitor.

Note that you can put textual information in the "Data" column of TFMonitor by setting the @SYS_DATA system variable, and this is where application data (order #, customer loc, Name, etc) would go.

Another option would be to write a TAM to send this information to a DB table, and have a VB application read the table and format it as a GUI display.

The next version of TeleFlow (February release) has ASC, CHAR2HEX, and HEX2CHAR as functions in the Run BASICScript.
